Yeast Candida Diet - The Perils Of Consuming Sugar!

Our body is composed of different microorganisms in which some bacteria may be beneficial and some may be harmful. One of these is Candida albicans - a type of yeast which is usually found in certain parts of the body such as the digestive tract as well as the vagina. In normal levels, they are harmless and do not cause any trouble, but once their growth becomes uncontrollable, health problems arise such as infections of the skin and mouth, and also irritations of the vagina due to yeast infections-a problem that most women encounter.

The reason why Candida yeast may grow rapidly is because the body may have experienced a drop in its immune system. One thing to note is that antibiotics can contribute to yeast overgrowth since it kills the “probiotics” that constantly monitors the growth of these organisms.

Certain diseases also like HIV-AIDS and any type of Cancer can cause the immune system to be weakened and in return gives opportunity for the overgrowth of Candida. Aside from oral thrush and vaginal infections, it can also lead to systemic infections that can result in poor concentration, headache, changes of moods, problems in the sinuses, and certain allergic reactions.

Knowing how to implement a yeast candida diet can help us prevent and control the growth of these organisms and the health problems it causes. This type of diet needs particular attention on the elimination of sugars in which the Candida loves to grow. It entails discipline in controlling the sweet-cravings so your recovery while on treatment can be fast.

Say No to Sugar. The main purpose of sugar restriction is to starve the Candida so it will stop growing and eventually die. The restriction doesn’t mean that you should never eat carbohydrates; those are still needed to avoid hypoglycemia. Approximately, about 60 g. of carbohydrates are allowed in a day to day basis while on this diet.

Foods that are advisable to eat are those that contain low amount of carbohydrates like chicken and meats and vegetables that aren’t rich in starch. Some advisable veggies are broccoli, bell peppers, and cabbage. Vegetables are important to this diet as this has properties that remove the poisonous toxins from our system. Don’t think that you’ll never eat foods rich in sugar again! You can return to your normal diet if you’re body has already restored its normal function and regulated the Candida in your body.

Do not take in yeast into your body. This has something to do with the foods that have agents like yeast. Examples of these are cheese, alcoholic beverages like beer (it’s fermented), and breads because most bakers use yeasts to make the bread rise.

Alkaline Vs. Acidic. For most of us, we think that acidity will help eliminate the growth of Candida but it is otherwise. The more acidic we become, the more it will grow. Just like eating sugary foods it will lead to an increase in the acidity in the body that will lead to problems such as tooth decays and slow wound healing. One purpose of the yeast candida diet also is to increase the body’s alkalinity and the balance of the ph.

Before starting a yeast candida diet, it is advisable that you first visit your doctor especially if you have any issues with your kidneys. Since this diet will require you to load protein-rich diet to compensate on carbohydrate cutting, it might be an additional problem to the kidney. If you have no kidney trouble, it is a good diet for you to try. It will help you recover quickly and eliminate or regulate the Candida yeasts in your body.
