1I prefer Avast, it’s easy to install - completely covers your computer and can automatically update your virus protection. Also, when it finds viruses, spyware, etc it shuts the file down instantly and asks you what you’d like it to do. It’s also loosely based on Pirate’s - which are cool!

2Those are both very close, but Avira comes out on top in detection and removal, but not by much. I think Avira is going to use less ram while protecting you. But as far as scanning goes they all use alot, the best way to use an anti-virus program is just to scan and not try to do other things. At most maybe one thing. But whatever you do while scanning, it’s going to be slower. Also I’ve seen tests where Avast was weak in web protection. Avira on the other hand does not have the web protection but will spring into action once the file opens. That fact is going to make avira faster when downloading.

5I think neither. AVG in its basic antivirus form not the security suite, offers good protection and doesnt effect the speed very much.. The security suite runs like a slug.
