I’d have to say Avast!
I’m currently using it, it is completely free and you can register at their website to get a full membership completely free even if it says trial.
I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, I have recently added superantispyware and Malwarebytes. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I have just upgraded to AVG free 8.0 and all seems good so far. Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
I am currently using Windows Live One Care. They offer a free trial if you go to their website @ http://www.onecarelive.com
They have a safety scanner, clean up, and help and support.
You can also do a scan anytime you wish.
If you subscribe, you can add up to 3 other PC’s to your “One Care Circle”
Hope this helps!
I promise you, this is by far the best one there is. It detects and blocks everything that Norton and McAfee tend to ignore. I’ve been using this for about three years and haven’t any trouble. http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-…
There is no subscription needed, it’s free (no strings attached). It’s updated constantly and catches everything.
try avira
i has higher virus detection rate than avast and avg
but it cannot detect sypware so you need to install antispyware such as malwarebytes or superantispyware
